Global Marketing Manager f/m/d

As a Global Marketing Manager for our instrumentation and testing business unit you are responsible for the definition, implementation and monitoring of AVL’s short and mid-term Marketing Strategy. Furthermore, you manage state-of-the art campaign tactics and launch processes in close alignment with Corporate Marketing, AVL’s Management Board, Business Development and Sales Department. You lead marketing actions for various product/solution lines by identifying and understanding market needs and trends within existing and new market segments. You strengthen the company’s position in this area by developing and implementing global marketing plans, handling the business unit marketing budget and defining marketing key objectives. Additionally, you manage the dedicated marketing team within your segment. This role reports directly to the Global Director Marketing and Communication.

Location:  Graz 

Your responsibilities:

  • Central marketing point to support sales and business development process with initiatives, market intelligence, collaterals, demonstration support, campaigns and custom content
  • Develop KPI-driven global marketing strategies, tactics and programs for brand awareness, product/solution positioning, demand and lead generation to achieve business growth
  • Communicate strategy, provide direction and leadership to support teams and subject matter experts to drive objectives
  • Work in strong cooperation with AVL's industry business line
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns (from ideation to execution) and communication plans
  • Identify and create synergies between global marketing programs that cross product and business unit lines
  • Plan, execute and report on digital marketing activities, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising based on in depth analysis of data, insights and customer behavior
  • Support and monitor marketing activities in company's key territories
  • Manage and controll marketing budget and allocate funds wisely
  • Measure and report all marketing actitivy and campaign performance, gain insights and assess against targets (ROI and KPIs)
  • Concept, develop, plan and management AVL Events
  • Support conception and implementation of global marketing processes and tools in close collaboration with Corporate and Digital Marketing
  • Drive internal communication globally
  • Build strategic alliances with partner and agencies
  • Participate in vendor selection management in the execution phase


Your profile:

  • Academic Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing or equivalent study with strong technical understanding and interest in cutting edge technology developments
  • Minimum 10 years professional experience in B2B Marketing
  • Proven ability to work both independently and in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to achieve established goals
  • Digital marketing background preferred with Sales Force experience
  • Strong analytical skills with data-driven thinking
  • Examplary verbal and written communication skills in English and German
  • Global team player and leader - able to motivate people to work with you across disciplines and hierarchies
  • Ability to adapt quickly due to market changes and requirements
  • Creative thinking
  • Project management skills

Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €72,000.00. We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
