Databox, a fast-growing software company disrupting the $16B Business Analytics space, is seeking an experienced Human Resources leader who can help us capitalize on the enormous opportunity in front of us.

Head of People / HR

As Head of People / HR and a member of our management team, you will oversee and help execute all Human Resource Management functions, including recruiting, hiring, employee onboarding, career development, performance management, leadership development, benefits and compensation management, policy setting, planning and budgeting. Although we’ve developed some processes for hiring, onboarding, career development, etc, the ideal candidate will know how to improve upon what we’ve built, help hands-on with recruiting for key positions, and quickly build an HR and Recruiting team of 2-3 people.

As a company that has grown our revenue and headcount 50+% year over year while maintaining cash-flow positive operations and high gross margins, we are hiring aggressively to accelerate our pace of growth even further. In order to drive this growth, we need someone with both human resources and company-building experience to build out and manage our human resources team. With 80 team members in 8 countries around the world with plans to double that in the next 12 months, the ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about building strong teams and a great culture in a global, hybrid workplace company.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and overseeing the execution of HR strategy in line with business goals and objectives
  • Oversee the organization’s recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes. In collaboration with all department leaders, ensure we hit our recruiting targets and hire great candidates
  • Developing and nurturing company culture, including employee happiness assessments and implementation of measures and processes to improve it
  • Define common career paths and compensation plans
  • Employee development: Work closely with company leadership and other teams to develop, define and maintain career path and performance management etc.
  • Help implement leadership development and management training programs.
  • Implement and constantly improve all HR processes
  • Employee experience: defining processes and collaborating with managers throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboardings, relationship building, promotions & offboardings
  • Measure the effectiveness of our benefits programs, identify and implement improvements
  • Maintain HR procedures that comply with labor regulations across the globe

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of working experience as HR Manager
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Good knowledge of labor laws globally
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • People-oriented and results-driven

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
  • Getting things done attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytics and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent English speaking and writing
  • Close attention to detail
