Accounting Specialist

Leanpay is looking for an Accounting Specialist. Leanpay is a 4-year-old scale-up regional Fintech, fulfilling a mission to enable consumers to pay for any product or service in installments in any shop and in any channel with only a few clicks. Leanpay assures immediate response, no worries about paperwork, no waiting or separate trips to the bank, and no need for a credit card or other financial product onboarding.

Buy Now Pay Later ("BNPL") and digital Point-of-sale Finance ("dPOSF") are the hottest trends in Fintech and Leanpay is working hard to be at the forefront of that trend in Central and South-eastern Europe.

Currently, Leanpay is a dPOSF leader in Slovenia. In 2021 Leanpay started operations in Croatia and based on a successful Series A funding round, in 2022 Leanpay continued its internationalization and growth into Hungary and Romania.

The Accounting Specialist will be based and employed in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and will be reporting to the Leanpay group Head of Accounting and Controlling.

The main task of the Accounting Specialist includes management of payment transactions, payroll function performance, bookkeeping supplier's invoices and reviewing financial information, as well as preparing monthly financial reports for management.

What will the Accounting Specialist be doing?

  • Keeping accurate records of incoming and outgoing payments to the organization;
  • Managing accounts payable (Vendors, Suppliers) and payment schedules;
  • Handling payroll functions as required by the organization and final travel order calculation;
  • Collaborating with the team to provide necessary financial reports to senior-level managers and helping with decision-making;
  • Reviewing financial information and documents and ensuring compliance with internal accounting procedures;
  • Monthly reconciliation of account's balances - ensuring ledger's reconciliation at least on a monthly basis and booking execution in the month-end closing process;
  • Preparing monthly VAT, TFS reports;
  • Looking for and providing solutions for accounting irregularities;
  • Handling general ledger bookkeeping, bank and cost accounting;
  • Assistance with preparation for annual audits;
  • Monitoring tax and other regulatory changes.

What we expect from the ideal candidate?

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business administration;
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in related fields;
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and Slovenian tax legislation (Personal Income Tax, VAT);
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping software (experience with Pantheon is a plus);
  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written communication);
  • Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability;
  • Paying attention to details and ability to analyze data;
  • An understanding and flexibility to accept that priorities can shift regularly in a high-growth environment;
  • Affinity for information technologies / ERP;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Leanpay je 4 leta staro regionalno Fintech podjetje, s poslanstvom, da
potrošnikom omogoči plačilo izdelka ali storitve na obroke v trgovini ali na
spletni strani z le nekaj kliki. Leanpay zagotavlja nakup na obroke brez
papirologije, brez čakanja ali fizičnega obiska banke.

»Kupi zdaj, plačaj pozneje« (BNPL) in digitalno financiranje na prodajnem
mestu sta najbolj vroča trenda v Fintech industriji. Leanpay si močno
prizadeva biti v ospredju tega trenda v srednji in jugovzhodni Evropi.

Leanpay je trenutno vodilni v BNPL industriji v Sloveniji. Podprt z uspehi v
Sloveniji in novimi investicijami, ki so potrdile moč vizije, v katero
verjamemo, smo se v letu 2021 razširili na Hrvaško in nadaljujemo s
procesom internacionalizacije CEE na Madžarsko in Romunijo.

Leanpay v 2022 širi ekipo v Sloveniji in med drugim išče izkušenega
sodelavca (ž/m) za delo na področju računovodstva. Glavna naloga bo
vodenje plačilnega prometa, izvajanje obračuna plač, knjiženje računov
dobaviteljev, pregledovanje in kontrola finančnih podatkov ter priprava
mesečnih računovodskih poročil za vodstvo.

Samostojni računovodja (ž/m) bo imel sedež v Ljubljani, Slovenija, in bo
poročal vodji računovodstva in kontrolinga skupine Leanpay.

Leanpay omogoča fleksibilno delovno okolje ter dinamičen in agilen
operativni model, ki bo vsakomur zagotovil visoko stopnjo odgovornosti in
povezanosti z osnovno dejavnostjo podjetja. Vsak uspešen kandidat bo

Kaj bo delal SAMOSTOJNI RAČUNOVODJA (ž/m)?
● Vodenje natančne evidence prejetih in izhodnih plačil poslovnim
strankam;
● Upravljanje obveznosti do dobaviteljev in planiranje denarnih tokov;
● Izvajanje mesečnega obračuna plač in obračun potnih nalogov
zaposlenih;
● Sodelovanje z različnimi oddelki znotraj podjetja Leanpay, da
zagotovi potrebna finančna poročila za vodstvo (monthly
management reporting) in finančne informacije za pomoč pri
odločanju vodstva;
● Kontrola in usklajevanje finančnih transakcij in knjiženj v ERP:
pregled finančnih podatkov in dokumentov za knjiženje, zagotovitev
skladnosti procesov z internimi pravili in računovodskimi standardi;
● Mesečno usklajevanje stanj (BS, IPI): zagotavljanje skladnosti
postavk glavne knjige vs. saldakontov vsaj enkrat na mesec,
usklajevanje stanj in prometa med povezanimi osebami, izvajanje
potrebnih knjiženj v procesu zaključevanja meseca;
● Priprava mesečnega obračuna davkov: DDV, DFS;
● Iskanje rešitev in predlogi za odpravo nepravilnosti v računovodstvu;
● Vodenje glavne knjige, plačilnega prometa in stroškovnega
računovodstva;
● Pomoč pri procesu letne revizije;
● Spremljanje davčnih in drugih zakonodajnih sprememb.

Kaj pričakujemo

Kaj pričakujemo od idealnega kandidata?
● Diploma iz računovodstva, financ ali poslovne administracije;
● Vsaj 5 let delovnih izkušenj na sorodnih področjih;
● Dobro razumevanje računovodskih standardov in slovenske davčne
zakonodaje (ZDoh, ZDDV);
● Dobro poznavanje delovanja računovodskih programov oz. ERP
(izkušnje s Pantheonom so plus);
● Tekoče znanje angleščine (ustna in pisna komunikacija);
● Usmerjen na roke z odlično sposobnostjo upravljanja s časom;
● Usmerjenost v podrobnosti, natančnost in sposobnost analize
podatkov;
● Razumevanje in prilagodljivost, v okolju z visoko rastjo se prioritete
lahko redno spreminjajo;
● Afiniteta do informacijskih tehnologij / ERP;
● Zmožnost delovanja v teamu;
● Sposobnost ohranjanja zaupnosti.
